Drilling a well.

Drilling a well. When it comes to water, it is one the most important things to have in the house. In our case, the island dose not have public water source available. So we ether drink sea water ;) or drill a well.

The prediction of our well was 400 to 600 feet deep in the bed rock beneath the Orcas Island. There is no guarantees in well drilling, but we rely on the experts and they have begun the hunt for water beneath.

Well water typically tastes better due to the lack of added chemicals. And as you can imagine, it is also better for your health.

Public water is treaded with chlorine, fluoride, and other chemicals.

Since the private well is all-natural, none of those same added chemicals in the public water system effects the earth. Water testing is suggested yearly to make sure bacteria is not entering the system through damaged casting.
